Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton
3.0
unbelievably we are here, with me giving haunting adeline of all books 3 whole stars.
as soon as I stopped taking this book as seriously as it was trying to take itself my enjoyment went up 200%, I liked adeline so much more, and reading the words "women and children" or "children and girls" stopped getting to me as much.
I hated the cliffhanger ending, and I understand its to set up for the next one because its a duology- and I will certainly read it- but it feels so unnecessary once adeline learns who the killer is and once zade is. well zade is just zade the whole time.
this is a brainless read but long as hell.
