The Anthropocene Reviewed: Essays on a Human-Centered Planet by John Green

adventurous emotional hopeful informative inspiring slow-paced

I will take hundreds more essays, please? John's words mean the world to me. In this book he explores many facets of the world and his experience within a human-centered planet. He does this through a series of essays in which he reviews amazing things like sunsets, favorite movies, trees, and vaccines. And also horrific things like plague, extinction, and everything in between! He does not avoid despair, hopelessness, and darkness. But ultimately, I do feel more hopeful and centered after reading this. There is so much wretchedness in this world and there is so much wonder and I am but one tiny human in the midst of it all. I give The Anthropocene Reviewed 5 stars.
