I downloaded this arc read from the author's newsletter. Rebecca F. Kennedy has quickly become one of my new favourite authors and here she has made yet another enthralling retelling and connected it to others in ways I could have never imagined.
I will admit, for some reason, this instalment was a little more difficult for me to get into as there were things she did in this book that I just didn’t resonate as much with. Despite that, this book was a great addition to the series and I was savoring every interaction between the two human women and their men.
I found Dorothy to be very irritating most of the time and really only found myself liking her when it came to her interactions with the West Witch. Honestly, it has less to do with her writing and more to do with me projecting myself into the situations in the book and realizing if I was there I would have found her to be a very irritating person.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a raging sucker for reverse harem relationships so the quartet we got in this book captured my full attention and was just as fun as Clara and Sugarplum.
