This was another book that I said I would never read unless I stumbled across it at a used bookstore...well it happened and I finally made time to sit down and read it last night.

I couldn't put it down. In fact by the time I did, at the very end, it was well past 3AM.

Because I don't typically read dark romance, I didn't have high expectations. The main character did annoy me at times and I found myself wanting to strangle her just to shut up for two seconds...but overall I really enjoyed the story. Having the darker subplot playing the background is what really made it for me. I wasn't expecting a thriller, borderline horror story and throwing that element in is what sealed the deal.

The spice in this is HOT. Very hot. And at times, twisted...but I liked it? I don't know what that says about me.

I will be reading this one again in the future.
