honestly I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did... my mother gave this to me to borrow and our book tastes are quite different so I was a bit reluctant to dive into this but as time went on I found myself.... wanting to know more. I had a genuine interest in eleanor and her story. she's a pain in the ass in the beginning but overtime she became quite charming in a way nobody could. But my main enjoyment came from the bonds she curates; the acts of kindness portrayed in this book are small and subtle but monumental in a way that melts your heart. thanks mum for a good way to start the new reading year! ✨
