The Pianist: The Extraordinary Story of One Man's Survival in Warsaw, 1939–45 by Władysław Szpilman

5.0

This book will stay with me for a very long time. The harrowing experiences described were hard to read and digest. I normally read WWII fiction but a real life account of what happened really brings the truth home. Although difficult at times I couldn't stop reading it.
