Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling

5.0

For whatever reason, I gave up on Harry Potter for a while after reading The Prisoner of Azkaban, which, oddly enough, is my favourite of the series. Perhaps I just grew lazy but, for whatever reason, there was quite a bit of space between reading Azkaban and Goblet for me and I think maybe this is why this book is one of my favourites as it thankfully made me return to the series. I picked it up at a market while on holiday and it was constant companion for a while. The tensions in Harry's friendships and general relationships are an interesting turning point in the series, and I appreciate the darkening of the, up until this point, somewhat lighthearted tones.
