Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
5.0
A review I read stated that "Ready Player One" is a combination of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "The Matrix". While I agree, that description does not fully do justice to what this book is. Add in "Ender's Game" and "Hunger Games" and "Tron" and you might have a better idea of what "Ready Player One" is.
To say that I loved this book is an understatement. I devoured it. During the two days I was reading it, I talked it up to everyone I saw. "Have you heard of 'Ready Player One'? IT'S SO GOOD. YOU SHOULD READ IT."
What I loved about this book was the mystery. While there were some plot developments that weren't difficult to foresee, there were also plenty of things that I didn't anticipate at all. The characters were fun and very well developed, the writing was superb, the 80's references were hilarious and wonderful.
I will continue to recommend this book to everyone for the foreseeable future. It rocks.
