Not one of Dean Koontz' finest works but enjoyable enough to warrant three stars. Some parts of this book provided quite uncomfortable reading such was the depravity being described. I think Koontz' strengths lie in his ability to really dig deep into the pysche of both his good and evil characters, make you feel something and maybe question your own moral limits.
I always enjoy Koontz' work but this was not him at the peak of his powers. If you love Dean Koontz you'll like this but if not you won't be converted here as there are a lot of finer reads in his catalogue.
