The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
5.0
Have you ever finished reading a book that was so good, you just knew everyone in your life had to read it? Who do you give it to first?
I just finished The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak, and it was an incredible read. It centers around a girl who is orphaned in the middle of Nazi Germany, and is told by none other than the Grim Reaper, Death, who finds himself drawn to Liesel in her struggles. Never mind the droll commentary from the highly overworked Death, who is struggling to keep up with the war. This book is a tragic masterpiece, telling the story of World War II as only Death can say.
If you liked this book, check out others that I recommend as well. :
