Unfortunately wasn’t as gripping as the first book, and although it was okay overall, it was a struggle to keep trudging forward at some points. The fact that it was such a long book made it even harder. I’m not sure that I will continue with the rest of the series if it’s going to feel like such a slog… even if it was perhaps just a case of middle book syndrome. This one didn’t end on much of a cliffhanger, so I don’t mind.
