Do you ever encounter a book with rave reviews that somehow managed to slip under your radar? This was Dear Child for me.  Because of the cover similarities and even certain synopsis similarities, I recently discovered that I was lumping this book and Room, by Emma Donoghue (which I also still need to read) together as one in my mind.
