What an amazing book, I absolutely loved it!
I’m not one to pick up fantasy books, but one of my bookish goals for the year is to read genres outside of my usuals. I’m glad this was my first of the year!

I was immediately hooked from the beginning. So much happened right from the get-go to where I HAD to keep reading. I love the way Finnish mythology was woven throughout this. You hear lots of stories based on Greek mythology, so I was happy to read something outside of that.

Rath did an amazing job writing about each character to where I felt strong connections (good and bad) with each of them. The back and forth on each chapter between Aina and Siri’s POV was well written and didn’t leave me with any questions on what was going on.

Idk, it was a hands down great book and I loved it! Can’t wait to read the second book in this duet!
