I read this immediately after the first one until 4 o’clock in the morning.
In some ways, this one did it even more for me. This one I felt in my stomach once or twice. Well, their chemistry, that is. Or Jonah’s sexiness.
I really enjoyed Anneke and Jonah together. And I also liked that they were both willing to compromise—not because they asked each other to, but because they wanted to have the opportunity to give their relationship a shot. I also enjoyed the music elements in this one. They were the two cutest music nerds.
I adored the setting of New Orleans. The city was a third main character and I was so here for it. I really want to go to New Orleans now to walk around and soak up the history and atmosphere and eat all the traditional food and relax in the jazz clubs. Badly.
In short, the novel was another solid contemporary romance. I hope a third book is coming about Chloe and Dylan. I sense some tension.
