City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
5.0
Besides cringing over my utter obsession with Jace featuring the words "He's mine" from 2013/14(?), I still found pure enjoyment. I really loved Sebastian's introduction. Although, I had forgotten that Simon was immune to the sun due to Jace's "Angel blood" and not the Mark of Cain. I found Clary to be extremely relatable in this novel, as she head first jumps into Alicante without a second thought, and is chastised for her poor skills and lack of capabilities. It reminded me of why I so desperately clung to the idea of being like her, despite my boring brown hair. She took fate into her own hands and chose for herself when to take the advice of others, rather than accepting every offer and decline tossed at her.
