Popsugar Reading Challenge 2020 a book featuring one of the seven deadly sins

I’m beginning to think Victoria/V E Schwab is becoming one of my new favorite authors. I really enjoyed the Gathering of Magic Series and when I stumbled on this, I expected it to be a great read.

I read this as an audiobook and couldn’t turn it off. I almost finished it in a day. A unique concept that was a mix of vampires, hunger games, and Romeo and Juliet. The setting is a destroyed United States where there are zones of safety from 3 different types of monsters. There are two ruling family’s: Harker and Flynn. August Flynn is a Suni, 1 of 3 in the current world, that feats on the sin/soul of the wicked. He is sent undercover to monitor the movements of Catherine Harker. As expected the two become close and uncover a plot to end the truce between the two families and start a war.

Very fast pace, well written. I think it could have been stretched out a little longer (Triplett) but there is at least a book 2.
