I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson
5.0
A beautiful contemporary novel about siblings facing believable struggles about themselves, their family, and love. The novel was structured with Jude narrating the present and Noah narrating the past, and slowly you unravel how things became the way they are. The writing style is highly artsy and metaphorical, and it works for this story because of the emphasis on art in the characters' lives. I became exasperated at the plot for some angst that would've readily been solved through simple communication, but the ending more than made up for it, being realistic yet hopeful.
