A Little Hero by Fyodor Dostoevsky

2.5

I’ve read around twenty of Dostoyevsky’s stories and enjoyed all of them apart from this one. I don’t know why but the story or the characters didn’t grab me at all.

It’s an early short, and despite the themes of first love and all the chaos and confusion that goes hand in hand with puberty, it never worked its magic on me.

Oh well, I suppose even one of the world’s greatest writers has to write at least one dud.
