3 stars for Trevor.
The plot idea was good, but the way it was written was mid and the main female character was not very likable. She loved reading romances, but she didn't have much depth beyond that.
If her ex-fiancée was even an inch less of a horrible person I think I would have sided with him over her honestly, that’s how badly she was written.
The story tries to show how people wrongly label women as crazy when they're just doing their own thing. But some of the actions taken by the main character seemed strange and unnecessary. Even SHE says like 2-3 times after doing something particularly stalker like “I’m not a stalker or anything”….
I’m sorry that does not instill confidence at all.
It would be better if she acted a bit less “intense” at times so readers could see that what others called "crazy" wasn't really true. Trevor even told her in the beginning that she was too intense and though he “takes it back” by the end of the book I’m not entirely convinced really…some of her choices were “quirky” but others were … uncomfortable.
It felt very much women do unusual things but are seen as “empowered/strong” because we live in an era of “girl boss”.
