I enjoy deep dives into what makes each character tick. Miguel is the stereotypical womanizer-type but has fallen in love with the strong, hot-tempered Leila. Not too much happens in this short story (it doesn't have the same level of action, friendship, and a dash of romance that the main trilogy does). But if martial arts and well-choreographed fight scenes interest you, as well as dynamic, relatable characters and a hint of the supernatural, you will enjoy the Phoenix trilogy for sure.
