The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown

4.0

I think what I most enjoy about the way Brené Brown writes is that it is not a how to. She always gives you things to think about and consider when it comes to your life and living it the way you want. She puts all the questions down for you and gives you guidance but ensurenyou have the power by never saying this is how you do it if you want to succeed. Which for me, makes it authentic she focuses on the fact that we are all different and so therfore must live by different sets of rules.

This is a book I know I'd probably not sit down and read (I've had it on the shelf for years so yeah wasn't going to sit for it) not becuse I don't enjoy the topic but really just because my ADHD says lets hesr it instead. So I've learned when it comes to non fiction me and audiobooks go together real bad. Listening is more like listening to an informative talk or lecture which I happen to enjoy attending and have extreme focus for.

Much like attenting those I have takeaways and I know I'll revisit the audiobook again and next time pair it with my physical copy ro highlight some things I want to add to my daily practices and keep with me as I grow as a person. Highly recommend any books that makes you introspective and empowered but not attacked!!!
