This anthology taught me that if you want a character to unnerve your audience, you need only show a close-up of their teeth while they eat. The first story is a perfectly distressing marriage of fairy tale and nosleep horror, the middle ones are spooky fillers, and the last brings an emotional depth that elevates the horror.
