We are back in the cosy Yorkshire village of Hebbleswick for the next installment in the Board Game Cafe series. Single mum Taylor dreams of a fashion design career and creating amazing clothes, but she spends her days fixing zips, hemming skirts and worrying about her son, Max.
Accountant and railway enthusiast, Harry is recovering from a painful breakup, but longs for a loving relationship. When their paths cross at the Board Game Cafe sparks fly, but Taylor worries for Max and Harry’s lack of confidence threaten their budding romance.
It’s a good job the lovely people of Hebbleswick are on hand to give them a second chance at love!
I am a huge Jennifer Page convert, this is the third in the series I have read and I ADORE the cosy romance and the gorgeous characters that she writes. Although this is a series, each reads as a standalone perfectly well. There are some recurring characters that pop up, which is a little gift for the fans!
Stuffed full of wonderful people from Taylor, Max and Harry, to the returning Ludek, Mr B and Jo, plus those you love to hate (yep, looking at you Tarquin!) it really is like spending time with friends.
Full of heart, friendship and community but most of all romance, it is a an utter joy from start to finish!
