This book is stunning and it's as simple as that. The writing was captivating and inviting without being too heavy. There were so many things I loved while reading this story. The fashion aspect was so much fun and seeing a glimpse into Dior in the 40's was breathtaking. I loved that this book had it all. There was the history, a bit of mystery and of course some romance as well. Alix St. Pierre was truly such a memorable character. I loved her journey and thought her to be so fiercely independent and brilliant. I also thought the alternating timelines really helped to move the story along and I liked knowing the background information. There was a lot of unexpected action and espionage and I enjoyed that. I honestly wanted to be Alix at times just for the fashion part. Anthony's character was delightful as well. I wasn't expecting to like him so much, but I was easily attached to his storyline and his role in the book. In general, this was my first Natasha Lester book even though it's her latest and I can't wait to read more from her. I fully enjoyed this one.
