The Kraken Games by Lilith Stone
4.0
Fiercely, she nipped his full lower lip with her teeth, and he pushed back, nuzzled her mouth with the softness of his, his breath hot and sweet and slightly salty. Like the sea, Luna thought
As he’d held her limp and helpless in his tentacles, he’d felt so much love for her it was like an arrow hitting both his hearts.
Tropes:
- Enemies to lovers
- He falls first
- Hurt comfort
- Chronic pain rep
- Tentacle play
- Found family
- An ADHD dolphin
- Feisty heroine
Beautiful balance between spice and plot…and of course we have tentacles!
The Kraken Games is the fifth book in the Motham City Monsters series.
It is the story of Luna, a human, and Kai, a kraken, who compete against each other in the Kraken Games.
I’ve enjoyed some of the other books in the Motham City Monsters because of their great balance between steam and dealing with some heavy themes. This book didn’t disappoint.
I loved the characters of Kai and Luna so much. Their situations and insecurities seemed almost unsurmountable, so it was great to see their battle for their HEA.
We also had lots of steamy scenes with interesting kraken anatomy in the mix!
