The Provocative Colette by Annie Goetzinger

3.0

Annie Goetzinger's art is the best part of this graphic novel biography of the early years of the life of Colette, through her first two marriages and divorces. The story itself is, unfortunately, a bit surface-level, and we don't really get enough depth to know the personalities of Colette's husbands and lovers. Even Colette herself if shown more in terms of her professional pursuits and her affairs, rather than digging into her thoughts and feelings.
