“𝙈𝙮 𝙡𝙤𝙮𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙑𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚.”
I think this book broke my brain in the very best ways possible. The world building alone was intense and intricate, and I was absolutely invested in trying to connect all the loose threads as I went along. I regret to inform you, I was not successful. I have way more questions than I did at the end of Iron Flame, but that is to be expected since we are only on book 3 out of 5. I’m just happy to be here!
Violet definitely leveled up on her badassery, and I am HERE FOR IT. She is taking absolutely no shit from anyone, and we love that for her. I am also deeply obsessed with Jealous Xaden. He was so broody and moody…just like I like my shadow daddies.
I feel like I need to state that I have been Ridoc Gamlyn’s No. 1 Fan since Fourth Wing. He is an absolute delight and I’m glad he got his moment to shine in Onyx Storm! I was coming around to Dain after my reread of FW/IF, but I must now accept that…I like him. I really do.
I giggled, gasped, and cried my way through this whole book. It was everything I hoped for and more, and I will be over here thinking about it until the next book comes out.
