The Seventh Veil of Salome by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

3.0

3.5. I liked the idea of a biblical epic about Salome set in the Golden Age of Hollywood, it felt very possible which lent more reality to everything, but the entire book was a build-up to a moment that was ultimately... pretty underwhelming? There are perspectives from everyone even minutely involved, outside reporting, etc., etc., and then the event it was all leading up to is shoved in at the end in a page or two and, for me, it ended up being kind of a letdown, especially since the lead up had been so tension-filled and well crafted.
