"We both want a simple life, but I think, together, we'll make it extraordinary."

John & Quinn meet when she moves to town with her six year old daughter Abby after divorcing her crappy ex. Unbeknownst to John Quinn is his new tenant and is taking over the cafe/diner that an old family friend used to own before passing. After a few initial misunderstandings and getting off on a bit of the wrong foot, these two realise their desire for the other, and the story goes from there.

I loved how the relationship developed between John & Quinn and how John was the perfect embodiment of a grumpy marshmallow, his relationship with Abby was so freaking cute and he was supportive of Quinn and wanted nothing more than her happiness. Once that man was in, he was in and did what was necessary to make sure both his girls knew it. I loved how the situation with Quinns ex was rounded out, and it made me chuckle out loud. This gave me the small town, single mum, he falls and falls hard, sweet, cosy vibes I was craving. It was a quick read, and I had a really great time reading it. Book releases on January 9th, and I definitely recommend adding it to your TBR. 🌶🌶
