The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas

5.0

Stunning book that lives up to its reputation - vibrant characters, a villain that ranks among any of her era, and a constant sense of motion that keeps the plot moving without any risk of seeming stale. D'Artagnan is a main character with obvious flaws, which humanized him compared to other gallant heroes, and I think it helps keep an otherwise fantastical book extremely grounded.
