I would really give this a 3.5-star rating. It's a very solid mystery, nothing annoying about it at all. But I just didn't love it enough for more stars. I'm on to #2 in the series now.

I found the thoughts and actions of the main character interesting, as he's a therapist, and that profession is interesting to me. None of the characters is super charming, but they're okay, and the unraveling mystery was interesting enough to keep me turning pages.

LATER: I just read book #2 and am liking the characters more. So maybe this series just has to grow on readers like me.
