No one writes speculative fiction deeply concerned with Christian-adjacent theology as well as Parker does. Much like the Prosper books, this one asks so many big questions and gives you answers but it's all just a big thought experiment isn't it? What if god worked this way, what if it was all like this? And I find it enchanting.
