at first, I thought the book was going to be a cliche fake dating trope, but after finishing it I found it to be a good book with complex characters. Irene being an authentic cheerleader and a POC added to the story more than I had expected it to.
I liked how they were still friendly after they had broken up and how Irene was given time to think and process her past relationship.
The romance didn't feel rushed and felt genuine. I thought it was cute and that they made a good couple.
