Lovely, Dark and Deep by Claudia Cain

dark mysterious tense fast-paced

5.0

If you have a chance to read this book you should grab it with both hands and hold on fiercely because it is SO damn good! I’m always a sucker for a good witchy story and honestly, this is one of the very best I’ve read. It’s dark and grim and actually quite terrifying at some parts which I totally wasn’t expecting but absolutely LOVED. Think House of Hollow vibes mixed with a little bit of Holly Black and you have the magic that is Lovely, Dark and Deep. You’ve got witches and fae and monsters and children disappearing and pretty much everything else you could want in a story like this, it’s just filled to the brim with excellence and I can’t praise it or recommend it enough. My instant reaction after finishing was to message the author to ask when the next book was because I need more of this dark deliciousness in my life and I need it stat!
