Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez
5.0
I devoured this book in one day. It’s such a perfect rom com read. From the beginning the premise hooked me. Emma and Justin both ah e the same problem. Every person they date, ends up finding their soulmate post breakup. Emma messages Justin from his Reddit post and they decide to date for the summer hoping their bad luck cancels each other out. This book has many complex storylines including mental health representation, complex family dynamics. I really loved the friendship with Maddy and Emma. I loved the character elopement with Emma and Justin. He really went all out with the date surveys and planning. I loved how their relationship built we saw more of each of their characters and realized how much they truly had in common. They needed one another in many ways. Their chemistry was amazing. I loved all the Easter eggs and impressed how they were incorporated from Abby’s previous books.
