I can’t even write out a proper review. All I can say is I was melting throughout the entire book— endlessly swooning!

I adored the slow burn romance coupled with the intense chemistry that refused to extinguish. King was so resistant to falling in love, and it was just a total delight to see how miserably he failed. And my beautiful Sophie was just the best. I loved her, I loved her earnestness and kindness. And her dreams of life filled with freedom and love.

I think I would have liked a longer grovel, although I wasn’t entirely convinced with the scenes leading up to it. King verging a bit on a 180 personality change. That was my sole gripe.

The rest is perfection. Total perfection.
