All the damn stars! Collectively I always hear something similar to "why don't men just read the manual?!" The 'manual' being romance novels of course. Well, this book is exactly that!
Gavin and Thea are struggling in their marriage. After a huge rough patch, he guves her the silent treatment, she tells him to leave, and now they are on the verge of a divorce. Gavin doesn't want this, and Thea is not having anything to do with outting herself aside anymore. Gavin's friends take him in and they teach him how to find himself, and his marriage, in romance novels.
Relearning about each other and themselves, this book speaks to me so much as a married person. Marriage is tough. It has a lot of up and down and if you aren't careful, you get sucked into your own insecurities. I love the way this book highlights saving the marriage and relationship rather than forging a new one. It a fresh perspective on the rom-com. I'm definitely reading the sequels.
