What a delightful sequel to a brilliant debut. This novel really fleshes out the. character Sophia Winston while lovingly evolving the shape of the happily-ever-after between the Chava and Ahmad. It's an engaging original story that deftly sidesteps all the lazy tropey pitfalls it could so easily have fallen into.
