Proof of Murder by Lauren Elliott
3.0
Addie Greyborne is a bookstore owner who attends a local estate sale. She runs into an old family friend who puts her past experience in rare books to work cataloging a final room/library before a big sale.
It had been a while since I read, Murder in the First, Beyond the Page Mystery, #3 in the series, and could not recall all of the backstories. I paused to go back. Once I got through the return Police Chief Marc Chandler, the lack of backstory bothered me less. Glad that triangle is on the back burner, possibly solved for now.
Addie has a smartphone that she uses for a flashlight but doesn’t take pictures, instead takes the evidence with her. UGH! Some new characters introduced and curious about where things will go with them in future books.
Happy Reading!
