A great end to the duology. I devoured the first book when I read it, and found this to be a little less interesting in the beginning. However, I loved witnessing Criers growth once the pacing picked up.

I’m also so glad we go to see more of the makers magic because it’s a super interesting system to me. I didn’t know where the storyline was going at the end of Crier’s War but I felt like the ending here was pretty perfect. One thing I do wish was touched on a little more was Ayla’s history. We only really see it from Crier’s perspective up until the end, and the whole Storme situation often felt neglected.
If my brother was presumed dead for 7 years I wouldn’t have one conversation and that be the end.

Regardless, Iron Heart was just as enjoyable to read. A truly interesting world and characters!
