Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

I could not put this book down. I think this is her best novel by far, although I love the others, too. The choice of voices narrating the story, the way she conveys the historical context of the Biafra War, the way she moves backwards and forwards through time with just the right amount of suspense. It's just lovely--well written, moving characters, and some important political debates about neocolonialism. A brilliant novel.
