Oh Damon. I understand I guess why people tend to love him after this book. While I do start to love him, I will always be a Michael girlie. This one is always a tough one to read. Just with his history and story. My heart truly breaks for him. And then you have how he ended up in jail. That’s where this book frustrates me. I love Winter. But I also really just don’t like her in the beginning. I don’t know. I just feel like the whole Damon going to jail thing could have been avoided and that frustrates me. She literally just hates this man from the start and it seems like it’s just cause people around her tell her to. She doesn’t let him explain anything. From the tree house to the Devils Night that sends him to jail. Damon never lied to her and she never bothers to ask what really happens in the tree house. I know it’s part of the journey for her but still. It’s annoying. I still really enjoyed this book. It’s still one of my favorites. It’s just that things could have been different. The shower scene and after will forever live rent free in my mind. Both of them over came a lot and figured out how to forgive. Damon has finally got some good luck  and I really love that for him. the group will always have a chokehold on my heart. Now I can’t wait for my baby Will’s story next.
