This was the first Colleen Hoover book I read and I finished it in one sitting. Needless to say I am excited to read the rest. I loved the book and the characters. It was such a unique love story with deep, meaningful lessons behind it. It was a quick read so I do wish it went more in depth about the characters and had more of a slow burn romance. While their connection seemed genuine, it still felt like there were slight gaps. I wish we saw more of other characters like Emory, Owen’s father, and Harrison. Something about the confessions and painting intrigued me so much and added a lot to the story and Owen’s charm. It was a mixture of emotions - equally cute and passionate and heart wrenching.
