Body of Evidence by Rachel Grant

This book is intense from start to finish and I loved it. Curt Dominick really stands out in this subgenre of romantic suspense. Rather than a military/law enforcement hero, he's a well-connected DA on a path to become AG. It's refreshing to have a prosecutor (sort of politician, since DAs are elected or politically appointed positions, and the AG is also a Cabinet position). He's intelligent, always considering every angle, asking the right questions, trying to think a few steps ahead. I'd love to see more MMCs like him.
While instalove isn't my usual cup of tea, I found it really worked in this book. Throw two attractive single people in high stakes life/death situations and they are bound to create an intense bond (if they don't hate each other).
