Likely more 4.5 stars, but rounding up seemed better to me that rounding down.


A word of caution, if you're going to read a book as touching and powerful as this one, don't read it with a bunch of kids who could care less about reading it. I finished it before they did, however, so maybe the ending will hit them as hard as it hit me.

There's so much to this book. Its allegories for the anger and isolation that come with losing someone are so deep, but still accessible to children, making it so perfect.
