Acts of Service by Lillian Fishman

1.0

SPOILERS AHEAD

I cannot believe how much I hated this book. Don’t be fooled by the NYU author bullshit that this is some grand exploration about sexual desire and bisexuality. In fact I think it does a huge disservice to the bisexual community.

This book is about two women who are manipulated by a sociopath and are perfectly content with it???

Maybe I am just far too gay to believe that a man is that amazing at sex that these two women would simply just be okay with the way he treats them?

Nathan was by far the worst but honestly I didn’t care about any of these characters. I’m glad Romi left Eve, and Fatima was the only one with common sense in this book.

Also if this was going for kink as well, idk there’s nothing like about a man being dominant that’s kink to me since it’s the expected gender role, but again I might be too much of a lesbian to get it.

The two women maybe just also remind me too much of people I know that have money and need to do something crazy to make it seem like they’re interesting or have a personality.

This might be my harshest review of the year but it was only because I was so excited for this and it did nothing but disappoint.
