The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
4.0
3.5 stars
The audiobook was awesome! I highly recommend if anyone is looking for a good audiobook.
This book was started out great. I loved it and I could wait to see where it would take me...Then I got a little past the 1/2 way point and my problem became wanting to continue on with the book, not because the narrator was horrible because he was the best part, but because the story just kept on pulling the same trick it had 35+ pages ago. It was doing one big loop all over again and boring me. Great writing and great opportunity for character development all gone to waste.
I was waiting for something new and exciting and was disappointed that I had to wait so long for it. Should I have skipped 250+ pages? Idk if I’ll continue or if I’ll just wait for the series to air in 2021.
TBH, I was surprised I was so disappointed with this book because I enjoyed two of Patrick Ness’s other works, A Monster Calls and More Than This. :/ Maybe the hype killed it.
