Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone by Diana Gabaldon

3.0

This was a large, slow, meandering beast. While there were some great moments, as a whole this was a bit of a drudgery to make my way through. The five star moments helped balance out the two star ones to balance at a three, but I was hoping for more.

It felt like Gabaldon’s writing style hurt her in with this one, her piecemeal method shows. I’ll still read the next and final book, but I’m frankly glad that it will be awhile before publication, just so I can come back to the series refreshed.
