Fun fantasy read. It’s fast paced and the protagonists are easy to rally behind. I enjoyed Maxima’s back story. For a first entry into a new series it didn’t give everything away. There’s still more to find out and they left us on an excellent cliffhanger. I look forward to pick up the next one.
