This book had me utterly mesmerized. It's hard to feel as moved by a novel as I was by this. The fact that it is an unfinished novel doesn't diminish its achievement. That it could've been even better with more time is almost unfathomable, considering how well it stands up in this form. How DFW can draw such humanity from such strange and damaged people is a testament to his power as a writer. Perhaps my favorite book. Truly a masterpiece.
